SOMERSET, N.J. & TOKYO (March 5, 2009) -- Macnica Networks Corp., a leading IT solutions distributor in Japan, and Raritan Japan Inc. announced that they have signed a distribution agreement.
Under the terms of the agreement, Macnica Networks will sell through its channels Raritan’s IT infrastructure management, remote access and power management solutions to corporate and service provider customers in Japan. The solutions from Raritan – a global leader in remote access management technologies -- help businesses better monitor and manage IT equipment and energy resources in order to realize maximum business value from their data center.

Raritan’s new remote power management solutions collect and analyze energy information gathered in real-time from servers plugged into Raritan’s intelligent power distribution units (PDUs). Accurate energy usage information is useful in solving a number of power-related issues – ranging from determining rack capacity to IT equipment health. Rack temperature and humidity information is also tracked by Raritan solutions. By examining temperature and humidity conditions in server racks, hotspots or excessive cooling can be identified, thus indicating when equipment needs to be replaced or repositioned. Raritan’s solutions also help track improvements on energy savings and carbon reducing initiates, and issue usage and change reports.
